Apple releases iLife ’08 Update

Apple has just released an update for iLife ’08. You can get it by running software update under your Apple menu. Support for MobileMe has been added.

This update contains new holiday greeting card and postcard themes for use with Apple print products. It also addresses general compatibility issues, improves overall stability, and addresses a number of other minor issues.

Apple Updates Xserve Firmware

Apple has released an update for the Xserve. This EFI firmware update helps “improve the stability of
Xserve computers.”

The Xserve EFI Firmware Update 1.1 can be applied via Software Update. Additional support notes on the Apple website.

Apple Brings QuickTime 7.5

quicktimelogo_rounded.pngApple has released QuickTime 7.5 update for both Macs and Windows PCs. The software, according to the company, improves application compatibility and addresses security issues and “is recommended for all QuickTime 7 users.” The download is 60MB and available via the Software Update for Tiger, Panther, and Leopard users.

Apple Releases Safari Update

Apple has released an updated Safari 3.1.1. According to Apple’s notes: This update is recommended for all Safari users and includes improvements to stability, compatibility and security.

Apple Releases Several Firmware Updates

Apple has released several firmware updates for Intel-based Macs, a restore image to recover if the update trashes your computer, and firmware fixes for Apple’s keyboard. I applied sveral of these on multiple machines without issues. Just fire up your software update app or you can download them directly.
